The practice of confession provides a pathway for us to be deeply connected with God and God’s purposes in the world. In the light of God’s grace and mercy, we find courage to look honestly at ourselves. Together, we may uncover facades, excuses, destructive habits, deception, control, and our failure to love God, others, or ourselves adequately.
