Direct Support Professional Part Time/Seasonal - (3 to 6 Weekends Per Year) Jill’s House is a Christian non-profit organization that provides short-term, overnight respite care for families raising children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 6-18) with disabilities. We are looking to grow our Direct Support Professional staff with great people to work weekends caring for children with special needs so that their parents and caregivers get time to focus on renewing themselves, their families, and their marriages. We get the fun opportunity to do that in a Weekend Adventures overnight camp setting. Our staff along with our wonderful volunteers, take kids to overnight camp at Cascades Camp and Conference Center in Yelm, WA. The Phinney Neighborhood Association is home to a small coworking space (in an old teachers' lounge!) that can accommodate five workers, and we have one desk available. Rent is $200/month and includes 24/7 access and a free parking pass. Basics like microwave, fridge, and printing is also available. Members of the space also receive 10% off at the nearby Ridgewood Bottle and Tap. This would be ideal for a freelancer or remote worker. All of us keep different hours so you'll rarely share the space with everyone at once. We are three freelance writers/editors and one choir director. Currently, we are all women, though anyone is welcome to join us. Please note that the room is shared, so it won't be ideal for therapists or others who need complete privacy.
