San Juan Islands Bike & Camp

September 12-14, $30, ~50 miles, 2,500 ft. of elevation gain, Moderately challenging

Hop on your bike and explore Lopez Island and San Juan Island! With quiet roads and beautiful water views, these are a popular destination for cyclists. We’ll ride across picturesque farmlands and along serene coastlines, stopping throughout for nature walks and shared meals. 

Over the course of three days, our route will take us over ~50 miles and 2,500 feet of elevation gain. This is considered a moderately challenging route.

Lopez Island Route: Mid Island Mission

We'll ride through beautiful and quiet Lopez island, which is mostly flat and cyclist friendly. We will stop in the village for breakfast, at shark reef sanctuary for a short hike to the coastline, and stop for lunch at Lopez village.

San Juan Island Route: San Juan Island

We'll ride to/from Lakedale camp through farmlands, stop for coffee in Friday Harbor, visit historical American camp and the south beach with beautiful views across the sound, Cattle Point Lighthouse, and False Bay Drive. Then we'll stop in Friday harbor for refreshments and catch the ferry.

We will be camping at both Washington Park in Anacortes and Lakedale campsite on San Juan Island. Both camps have showers available just bring a towel.
