Connect Groups

October to June

Connect Groups (often times known as “small groups”) are a great way to build deeper faith and community. We know it’s difficult to develop close friendships just by showing up on Sundays so we hope and encourage everybody to join a Connect Group in order to have space to navigate life, build strong and lasting friendships, and to grow in faith.

Want to lead a Group?

Connect Group sign-ups will begin October 3rd and Groups will start meeting the week of October 9th. Connect groups meet every week or every other week (depending on the group) and all groups will finish in the middle of June with natural "holidays breaks”, typically in conjunction with the local schools.

At Bethany West Seattle we believe life is better lived together and shared with one another, and mentoring allows people to learn from one another and to grow together. We believe in being an intergenerational church and value pouring into each generation. Whether you're looking for a mentor or to be a mentor, we can help get you connected to live more fully into where God is calling you. Sign up today and we'll get you plugged in.

Bringing the Scriptures to LifeLooking to deepen your walk with God but not sure how to move forward? The Bible is the voice of God constantly shaped by the Holy Spirit to speak to culture and particular lives today. Join us on Wednesdays from 7-8:30pm to dig deeper into God's Word to better discern the voice of God and to deepen our relationship with God and with each other throughout this seven-week course. We’ll both consider a spiritual concept (e.g., how do we discern God’s leading?) and spend time looking at some particular events recounted in the Bible with imagination and curiosity. Questions, reach out to Greg Collins @ Green LakeNo childcare

Ministry of Racial Justice and Reconciliation (MRJR)At Bethany Community Church, we believe all humans are image bearers of God (Gen 1:27) and diversity is God’s very-good design (Rev 7:9). Therefore, we strive to stop racism and see God’s image in all people, including all variety of bodies, skin color, ethnicity, national origin, language, faith, and citizenship status. Jesus Christ is ultimately the One who breaks down dividing walls to dismantle racism. At the same time, Jesus calls and equips his followers to be his co-agents of reconciliation and justice. (Ephesians 2:14, 2 Corinthians 5:18-19). Toward this end, Bethany Community Church has made racial justice and reconciliation a strategic priority and established the Ministry of Racial Justice and Reconciliation (MRJR) in order to build a long-term community of reconciliation that restores broken relationships and systems.
